Arthur
Center seeks to provide state of the art treatment and
fundamental to any kind of evidenced-based practices is being
person/family-centered. This means that you and your family
should be steering the delivery of services in a way that meets your
individual needs. We want to understand what is important to
you and how you would like to be treated. If you feel that
you are not being respected as a person, or that your issues or
concerns are not being heard, please ask to speak with a program
director or administration and we will be glad to assist you in
resolving the issue.
Our organizational mission is centered on the concept of
“partnership.” In the context of our treatment relationship,
this means that it is our goal to support your personal
recovery. It is your life and we want you to feel free to
live it as you have dreamed. The change process is difficult
for us all, but if we know where you want to go, it helps us to support
you in getting there. We provide training to our staff in the
area of cultural competency and seek to provide services to you that
preserve your dignity and are sensitive to issues that are important to
your family and traditions. We want to come to know you and
your family and the best way to do that is to ask questions and seek to
understand you as an individual in the context of your family and
community.
Your treatment plan will be your plan for recovery and should be in
words that you understand and in your power to change as you progress
in your recovery process. It should not just focus only on
what is wrong, but also build on things you do well and successes that
you already achieved. Although our staff has a diversity of
skills and abilities, we cannot meet the needs of every
person. Sometimes others are more experienced or better
trained to provide care for persons with unique or less common
issues. In these cases, we will make an appropriate
referral and make sure that you are connected with the resource.
We are honored to be a part of your recovery and understand that the
things we have discussed together are highly personal. We
will keep everything confidential and will only release information
with your permission or as we are required by law to release.
Thank you for choosing
Arthur Center as your partner in recovery.
