Adult
Outpatient Services
Arthur Center provides
outpatient services to person residing in Audrain, Callaway,
Montgomery, Pike, Ralls and Monroe counties in Missouri.
A
variety of services are offered including:
Psychiatric Evaluation and
Medication Services – Services provided by a psychiatrist
or nurse practitioner in assessing the need for psychiatric
medications, therapy or more intensive supports, while continuing to
monitor the effectiveness of the medication regime.
Sessions are one hour in
length for psychiatric evaluations conducted by a psychiatrist or
psychiatric nurse practitioner and does not include therapy.
Psychological evaluations can take up to three hours and are conducted
by a psychologist and do not include therapy. Eligible
clients include those aged 3 years and older.
Individual Psychotherapy--Therapy
is conducted by licensed therapists and usually last approximately one
hour. These sessions can be scheduled on an intensive weekly
basis, every second week, monthly or on an as needed basis.
Group Psychotherapy--Group
sessions are facilitated by a licensed therapist and usually last from
90 minutes to two hours. Groups can be scheduled on a weekly
or biweekly basis.
Medication Management--Conducted
by a psychiatrist or advanced practice nurse who reviews current
medication, symptom control, side effects and progress toward treatment
goals. Evaluations generally last 15 minutes.
Family and Marital Counseling--Sessions
are conducted by a licensed therapist and generally last 50-75 minutes.
Nursing Support--Support
functions include assistance with medication issues and patient
assistance programs.
Outpatient Therapy--Talk-therapy
services designed to assist a person in resolving functional problems
that are creating stress and mental health symptoms.
Case Management Services--Services
designed to connect people with needed resources in the community to
maximize person and family functioning.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation--A
set of services designed for persons with serious and persistent mental
illness that includes group activities, illness management and
recovery, community support, employment services, medication
administration designed to assist the person in their personal recovery
process.
Integrated Mental Health and
Additional Services--Focused on treating persons with
co-occurring addiction and mental health issues from a person-centered
and welcoming perspective that seeks to engage them in a recovery
process.
Supported Employment Services--A
program designed to assist persons in locating and maintaining
employment of their choice in the community by providing initial and
on-going support both on and off the job site.
Community Transition Services--Hope
Center is a partnership with that seeks to successfully transition
persons who have been residing at Fulton State Hospital and have
barriers to reintegration in the community. It is
approximately an 18-month program assisting the individual to develop a
personal plan and develop a support system to transition to person back
into their home community or community of choice.
Inpatient Care--Arthur
Center partners with Audrain Medical Center to provide safe place for
person who are in the midst of crisis and need close monitoring and
evaluation.
