and Youth Services Located within the Options
Unlimited - Mexico, MO facility at 400 East
Liberty, Mexico, MO, Arthur Center Youth Services are designed for
families who need a little more support than is typical while their
young family member receives treatment. Each family partners
with the Youth Services Team to build a network of family supports that
centers on the real needs of their family. The family support
team works together in developing a plan that is practical, flexible
and will identify needed supports to help reduce symptoms and improve
overall family well being. Arthur Center Youth Services staff are
professionals in the fields of psychology, sociology, counseling,
social work, or a closely related field of study.

Psychiatric Evaluation and
Medication Services--Evaluation
and follow-up for youth who need access to psychiatric medications to
assist in improving functioning.
Outpatient Therapy--Play and
talk therapy designed to assist the youth and their families in working
through issues that are barriers to family, school and social
functioning.
Case Management--Connecting
youth and their families with needed community and professional
resources and monitoring their effectiveness at meeting the need.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation--Interventions
designed to assist families in identifying priorities and addressing
specific goals to improve family functioning and better integrate youth
into his/her school and community. This program works closely
with other involved child and youth agencies such as the schools,
children’s division, juvenile courts, developmental disability services
and others as identified by the team.
Who is Eligible?
Any child
or youth with a mental health diagnosis that may be struggling to
function successfully at home, school or in the community may be
determined eligible for services at the Arthur Center.

The Arthur
Center provides Youth Services in the following six counties:
Audrain, Callaway, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike and Ralls.
How to Get Started:
Referrals
can be made by parents, caregivers, guardians and other community
partners including: schools; physicians and hospitals;
children’s division; juvenile offices; family courts; residential
treatment facilities; private mental health and/or substance abuse
treatment centers. In supporting families, Arthur Center
Youth Services joins with a
variety of community partners for the benefit of families and
communities served including:
